Climate Control

Hi there,
I swear blind there used t be a topic about my problem but I cannot find it anywhere. I may even be on the wrong forum!!

I basically only have natural air coming through with no power from the fan. Fine on a motorway but not much good in traffic!!
I am 99% sure the heater fan under the glove box has packed up. My cheapest quote so far is £206 for the part.


Anyone know any cool fixes I have not thought of or any cheap places for parts? I have tried VAG which were the cheapest, do forum members still get discount and does anyone know what it is?

Normal places like GSF and Car parts direct don't seem to be able to get hold of it.

Have you tried a scrappy or eBay?

Have you tested to make sure the motor is gettin power? can you hear it running? is the filter clean? as to parts what about eurocarparts... there is an ebay style site down here called trademe.co.nz given the currency rate may be cheaper, just a thought. ;)
