Hi all,
From reading other posts, we are aware about the s-tronic stop/start being quite aggressive in activation... This happened the other day which was quite scary, and wonder if anyone else has had the same...
As normal, when slowing down to turn right across a carriageway, hit <5mph and 'stop' kicks in, normally taking foot off the brake brings the engine back to life.
This time instead of that, the car failed the stop/start, fired up a warning, and shut the car down, and already being committed to the turn, we casually rolled across the road at 3mph - lucky we were on a slight downhill and the s-tronic box can free-wheel in drive.
Car restarted fine after finally stopping in the side road (and clipping the kerb which I am not at all chuffed about), also being very lucky the other carriageway wasn't busy with a lorry heading up the hill doing 50, or someone trying to overtake said lorry...
ECU reported low fuel was the reason for the 'start' not to happen... which is not likely as I think it's only entered the red once since new, and never down to the second marker, and on this occasion I was 300 or so into a weekend trip from full.
Keeping an eye on things, not been able to replicate, but would be good to know if anyone else has had the same happen, or other thoughts as to what could have caused this.
Cheers!
