Just joined the Forum after getting myself an Alhambra, the SE version...

Can anyone tell me what the Cambelt change interval should be on a 1.8T, i have been informed from various Seat and local garages from 40,000miles upto 110,000miles. They seem to be certain of the diesel models but very varied on the Petrol ones.
Can anyone tell me, mine has got 44,500 on it (coming 6 years old) and if the interval is 40,000 then i guess i better get it sorted.

Can anyone also tell me what the cost for this now-a-days is? i have been told that the waterpump should be done at the same time, and possibly tensioners... which i am unclear about...?

Any help much appreciated...

Welcome mate.

1.8T is 60K or 4 Years, whichever is sooner.

independant garage around £300

Dealer, £300 - £600

Oh! get the waterpump done at the same time, common fault with them braking up.
