Relevence of exhaust design

I'm looking at an A6 up to a year old, probably an Ultra S-Line but when I search on Motors.co.uk some are coming up with a double exhaust on the near side and others with separate twin exhausts either side. I'm assuming the double near side version is older? What are the other changes as I have driven a facelift with the hex exhausts and was quite taken with it.

Double exhaust is the 177ps
2 single is the 190ps ultra.
Another way to check is open filler cap and if there's adblue then it's 190ps ultra. If there's not then it's 177ps
