I'll looking to buy a 2012 avant 3.0 tdi 204ps. Maybe a set of 19's and a few little extra ect. I've a guy looking out for one through Audi UK trade network, maybe ex lease.
If I was to buy one privately in the UK, what should I pay for a 50k mls example?
Thanks

Not many examples of these around, even less sold privately. The 204PS is weak sauce of all the 3.0 models, so most go for the 245PS as it's not much more expensive.

Check out Autotrader.co.uk if not already.

My preference would be the 245, but unfortunately the import tax (vrt) is an additional €2,500 - €3000 on to of the €6,500 for the 204ps version, which equates to €9,000- €9,500 import tax :(

P.S I was offered a 2012 245 S Line Avant with 100,00 mls on it for similar money to a 2012 S Line 204ps with 50,000 mls!
I'd like it but after a couple of years I'd have 140,000mls on it and I'd be afraid I'd never shift it...
The 245 has the better gearbox and that wonderful sounding exhaust!

How reliable would the 100,000mls 245 engine be with that milage considering it has full Audi service history ?

Worry about the mileage at 200k, not 100k.

What about the 204ps allroad... you'd get quattro and the S-tronic gearbox.... There are a few of those around.

Oh and the 245 ps does not have the wonderful sounding exhaust, you need to go to the biturbo 313ps for that.

The all road is only a €1000 less tax than the 245. The 204 with quattro is the same. I'd rather pay the €1000 for the 245 model. I'll be speaking to the guy looking out for me tomorrow. Hopefully I'll know more then...

A friend of mine dropped up today with his recently acquired 2011 A4 avant black edition. It had the 3.0 245 tdi engine. Apart from the red callipers (prefer matt silver) i loved it, especially the engine note! Think I'll start looking at the 245tdi.
