Good morning all!
1st time poster, but regular reader.
I've recently sold a 520D and am seriously considering buying an A6. Like last time, I'm looking at the usual websites (Broadspeed, Drive the Deal, Orangewheels) to get a good deal, but are there any dealers that are known where some budding reps are willing to go the bit extra?
For BMW, there were a few dealers that went considerably lower than the above sites, and I was thinking that the same could apply here?
Thanks for any input, and please re-direct me if I've posted in the wrong area!

Hi, and welcome to the site,
You'll be lucky to get any better that DtD or the others, you could also try carwow. however if you get in quick (today or tomorrow) you'll have a good chance. a lot of dealers have got heavy quotas to meet for half year end, you could get a good deal at your local dealer.
BTW, Coventry Audi came up lowest price on Carwow for my choice and spec.

Delivery time may also be a factor. As you have sold your BMW I presume you will be wanting to get a new car fairly quickly rather than waiting 3-4 months for a factory order. If you are happy to take a car that is already in dealer stock you may get a deal that is better than some offered by brokers simply because they do not have access to all cars in that are in UK dealer inventory. Also remember hat to get the full Audi contribution of £4500 you need to take the Audi finance deal even if you pay it off immediately

Thanks for the reply. I'm not stressed about the delivery time as I have a temporary/interim car. I didn't think there was a finance catch, thanks

Coventry Audi through carwow has given me the cheapest deals for Audi's. Then quick screenshot, over to the local dealer and they match it.

Useful to know that Audi dealers work on a calendar year and not fiscal...wasn't aware of that but will file for future reference. :)

Seems Coventry is the place to go. Any particular salesperson? You can PM if preferred.
Also, on another note, is there a location in the forum for exterior and interior colour combination information?

I've just ordered a new A6 Avant from Coventry Audi which is 100 miles from me. On Carwow they quoted £1200 less than the next lowest quote. More local dealers said they couldn't match or beat the quote so I thought it only right I gave my business to Coventry. All done online or on the phone and so far they have been very professional. Just waiting for October delivery now!

Hi Silky, do you mean £1200 lower than other dealers or lower than the likes of 'drive the deal'?

Lower than other quotes on Carwow. For A6 Avant, tech pack, heated seats, folding mirrors, privacy glass. Glynn

Hi Glynn, in your experience will Coventry ever give a deal as good as the broker websites?

I can concur with Glynn - i tried all the discount websites and carwow - Coventry Audi gave the best discount for a bi turbo A6 S line, tech pack, supersport seats, exclusive paint, pan roof, 20'' alloys, heated seats F/R, parking pack, ambient lighting, bose, piano inlays and extra leather on doors - dealing with Max Nelson - so far all going well and order showing up on MYAUDI beta test website. Delivery expected Sept/Oct. Saved about 10K including audi/dealer contribution.

Hi Audi luvver. Not really got the experience. Been looking for a couple of months wanting to move on from my VW Phaeton. Decided on car and spec. Visited several main Audi dealers. Got ridiculous prices, then started to look at brokers and alternatives. Carwow and Coventry Audi were the best deal. I'm paying cash, but they also quoted best for the PCP route. Glynn

Don't forget that if you have cash you can still take advantage of the PCP discounts by taking out the PCP and then paying it off within the first couple of weeks of ownership. Plenty of owners on here have done that to get the best of both worlds.

Hi Allroad. Sounds interesting and not considered it. I suppose it depends on what early redemption costs are applied. I told the dealer I was going the cash route when I paid the deposit which was only on Monday. I wonder if it's too late to revert back to PCP?

No early redemption charges just any interest due to the point where you redeem the deal. . Would have thought the dealer would be OK switching from cash to PCP

Shouldn't be too late, and if you cancel the agreement within 14 days of taking delivery there would be no interest payable, however don't expect a christmas card from the salesman as they will lose any commission they would have got on the finance sale.

Spoke with dealer and no problem to go either cash or PCP. Away for a little while on holiday, so I'll finalise it out when I get back. Nice to know the car is ordered though!
