I have got hold of a Tuningkit Technologies - Chiptuning made in germany (www.tuningkit.de) carbon model tuning box from a Seat altea 2004 2.0 tdi sport. Is there any reason I can't install it too my A3 TDI 2.0 tdi 2003. These are apparently the same engines? or is there some issue that will stop it working?

I have been looking at the reviews of these Tuningkit Technologies - Chiptuning made in germany (www.tuningkit.de) tuning boxes and they seem to be very positive, I know your always better off getting a map, I just wanted to see for myself if this box is any good.....

Welcome to VWAF :)

For the A3, there were 6 2.0 TDI engines, BKD, BMM, BMN , CBAB, CBBB and CBEA

For the Altea, there are 5; AZV, BKD, BMM, BMN and CEG

For which engine was the tuning box originally supplied?

Hi Sam

THE Seat was BKD and my A3 is BKD.

So hopefully it won't explode when I fit it.... have you got any experience of the tuningkit boxes?

Many Thanks
Andy

Chances are you should be ok then - an email to tuningkit.de would confirm though.

No personal experience of tuningkit boxes I'm afraid.
