Audi A3 8P rear offside door won't lock on central locking & window can't be controlled from drivers controller

Hello all

can you help me with a problem with my car plz

my Audi A3 8p rear offside door won't lock on the central locking and the window can't be controlled front the drivers window controller.

The speaker and the lights in the door do work

i switched the door control module and central locking module with the rear left side and the fault didn't transfer.

Any advice appreciated thanks.


(Also I looked at the wiring diagrams - what is the 'CAN bus' and 'convienence'?

A friend took this picture from a diagnostic he ran but I can't make sense of it...

Check out the wiring between the A post and the door. The insulation gets cracked and the wires damaged over time with the bending involved with the door opening and closing. Mine did the same with the added hassle of not being able to open the boot.
