Stalling 1994 1.8 petrol

Hi

My golf stalls intermitently. When it does it may take three turns of the key or up to 2-3 minutes of turning over before it fires up and then it runs ok.

Any ideas?

Any help would be much appreciated.

(PS it is very responsive and smooth when it is running)

99 is the wiper relay, not sure about 1 though.
