Hello Everyone,

I have an Audi A4 B6 Cabriolet 2.5 TDI, that has recently undergone a face lift :-)

I currently have 18" RS4 replicas fitted that came with the car, and some budget tyres.
The wheels are reasonable quality and in good condition, but I prefer the look of the RS6 5 spoke wheels on the cabriolet.
I find the ride quite harsh having come from an A4 B8 Saloon, and this has made me wonder if reducing the wheel size and buying some good quality tyres will help improve the ride.

Any thoughts and/or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance :-)

Not a direct answer but is your suspension all how it should be, I am running 18's on my b6 2.4 v6 cabby and she is as smooth as a babies proverbial

Good evening,

You could be on to something, i'm sure there was an advisory on the MOT.

What tyres are you running on?

Do you know if a strut brace would make it better or worse?

I couldn't say re a strut brace, but I would certainly look at the suspension advisory, mine is so smooth that we expected going from 17's to 18's would spoil things ride wise, but it was slightly better.
We are on 225 tyres, not sure of aspect as the car is not home at the moment.
I would suggest that if the suspension is all correct and the tracking/balancing and pressures are all correct, you should have a perfectly lovely ride, so check the suspension
