HI everyone! I have a 2004 A4 cabriolet. This might seem like a silly question but how do I lock the car doors if I'm leaving the roof down. I want the doors secured and the immobiliser on but not the alarm for obvious reasons. I can't find any info on it anywhere after googling for ages but have 2 buttons on the inside drivers door that look like something to do with the alarm.

Thanks in advance!

The 2 buttons are for switching off the anti-tilt or the interior sensors.

Thanks for the reply! The anti tilt is the thing that pops up the things behind the rear passenger headrests in the event of accident where it flips right? Why would you want to turn those off?

Which button is which?

Anti-tilt is when it is being lifted/towed.
Do you have a handbook ?

If you drop the roof and lock the car does the alarm go off ?

It's all good now, ta! I have left the roof down now and the car is locked and alarmed/immobilised :-)

The tilt/towing icon also makes sense now. I'd guess could use that if going on a ferry also as the waves can make the tilt sensors go off as they think they're being nicked (instead of leaving the car's alarm fully disabled?)
