Does anyone know when production for the next model year (2016) begins at the Emden factory. I have been told my new B8 won't be manufactured until week 38. Will that be the 2015 or 2016 model year? Also has anyone heard of any changes in store for 2016?

I think the MY changes in the 20's. Don't quote me on that but it seems pretty familiar.

You'd have to check with Audi in Ireland as the MY specs may be different to UK models.

I have asked the question and it appears the car may be too new to have any updates just yet.
Then again I have my fingers crossed.

Yeah and I've been told it will be made in week 38 - apparently there's a good chance that could be brought forward. But it looks as though it will be MY2016. They normally make a few small changes with each new model year - it would be interesting to find out what they'll be. I'm going for a Crimson Red/St. Tropez Nappa 150 DSG Highline Business Edition with premium LED headlights, Dynaudio, reverse camera and a few other bits and pieces.

I did go got St. Tropez Leather but was put off it by a top notch detailer here as I normally only wear dark denims, so I changed it to Black Nappa

Then dropped to week 26
then 25
Now at 24. I am hoping it won't go any lower.
Taking delivery of it 10th August.

That sounds really nice. The regular LEDs are what comes with the BE pack but you can upgrade for €607. I also went for the Sports pack and fully electric massage seats, heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, easy open package (sensor boot opening with electric closing and keyless entry) and acoustic windows. I wanted the heated windscreen but it appears you can't have that with the premium LED headlights. I have been driving A6s, 520s and E-Classes for years so I've decided to lose the badge now and get all the toys I always wanted - especially the Dynaudio. I also like the adaptive cruise esp with the DSG. To spec up an A6 to this level would cost an absolute fortune. My Passat is coming in about €46,500 with all that kit.

I was not in the Class of cars you were but I have had 3 Octavia vRS's in a row since 2010, I decided it was time for a change.
Wouldn't mind half the toys you have.
I was going to add the soundproof glass but remember reading somewhere this affects the phone signal and as such the Premium phone kit would have to be added. I have no idea if this is true or not so I skipped that option.

According to my dealer there was no change to MY16 models.

Does anyone know if the new infotainment with android auto wiml be in the MY16? Various sites suggest so for the US but its less clear for the UK.

Had my car delivered 3 weeks ago. Apple car play and android auto work perfectly.

Thanks for the info. Did you get the discover pro or just the standard discover nav unit? Did you pay the 100 extra for the app connect feature?

Hi, i got discover pro. App connect should come free with it. At least in Bulgaria. Also from MY2016, the discover pro is V2. Faster processor and apple car play in it. Have that in mind if/when you order yours.

One more thing. Should your device connect by cable to the standard radio unit (with the touch screen) and android auto or apple car play is up, then you might use your mobile for navi as google maps is working perfectly.
