Replicated my iPhone on MMI screen.

I downloaded the cydia app "display out" on my iPhone , enabled the app in settings .

connected iphone to the AMI with RED collared cable and now iphone displays on mmi screen - albeit the resolution needs tweeking in the app.

Yes it is jailbroken - it's an old iPhone 3gs (out of warranty - so nothing to loose)

Ah right, just searched and couldn't find it that's all. Sounds great but wouldn't risk it with mine at the min. Can you control your phone through the MMI or just view it's screen?

It just mirrors the screen I think - I didn't try to control the phone via mmi so not sure(just chuffed that I could replicate the screen ) - but don't think you would be able to control phone - I will try tomorrow and let u know .

Jailbreaking your iPhone won't affect the warranty in any way as its software, not hardware.

You can just view the screen - no control over phone.
