Audi 8V Sat nav SD cards

Hi, I have a A3 8v and am trying to get the Sat Nav working, it seems Audi are charging £600 for SD cards and to enable them, is there any other way around this possibly a disc

It needs an online connection to the Audi database so I'm afraid it's Audi only.

I spoke to a seller on eBay who reckoned he'd sold loads to different independent garages who got them working??

Then what he's doing is illegal as the car requires activation and authorisation from the Audi server and he's obviously bypassing that.

Thanks Chris, I'll keep researching it, no way I'm paying 600 quid, I was hoping a dvd would work as that would free up the SD slots for music, just a thought what if I bought a second hand interface that came with the cards??
