Evening all.
Hopefully all you nice and knowledgeable people can give me some advice.
Looking at an Audi A4 avant 2.0 fs 2003, with 68000 on the clock, full service history, cam belt and water pump replaced.
the owner says that there is a hesitation when accelerating at about the 2000 rpm mark, once it goes through that point it accelerates ok.
Coil pack replace, some special engine clean carried out. using a VAG computer showed a fault referring to the inlet manifold.
On inspection of inlet manifold, it was found that there is a butterfly valve or something, and the rod that controls the valve had been bodged using a piece of wire.
Now the questions I would like answered are: 1, Would this valve give a hesitation on acceleration? is this what the vale does??
If so would getting a new inlet manifold of fleabay be a fix for this problem?
If the price is right on the car is this worth doing??????
Any help or information would be really helpful before I have another look.
Thanks in advance.
