I have an strange problem I'd like to bounce round the forum.
I have a 2001 Golf (1.6 SE). The A/C and blower seem to have developed an interesting fault.
With the A/C switch on the A/C works in blower position 1 but the blower doesn't blow. In switch position 2, 3 and 4 the blower works but the a/c doesn't (light goes out and just warm air). Obviously the fuse is okay as they are on the same circuit
I haven't got a Haynes manual to check the wiring diagram and couldn't find any similar threads on the forum.
Would appreciate some guidance from the more experienced trouble shooters out there before I end up paying an arm and leg to the garage when it could be something simple.
