Evening all,

I own a 2012 2.0 TDi (140) BE A3, first registered in February 2012; bought the vehicle in January 2013 and I immediately had the car serviced by my local Audi main dealer on 19/02/14 (18856 miles) and asked the car be placed on the LongLife Service schedule. Just less than 12 months later it was serviced again (indicated by the DIS) on 29/12/14 (25723 miles).

Yesterday (21st March) the DIS indicated the car is due for another service in 30 days or 10,200 miles time! I wouldn’t cover 10,000 miles in 30 days so I presume it will be due after 30 days (say, end of April) This will be only four months and approx 1,600 miles after the last one on 29/12/14.

I know the LongLife service is dependent on personal driving style (Audi speak) but has anyone else found themselves in the same situation and if so what did you do?

I know I can probably just pop into Audi can ask them to reset the DIS, if it doesn't require servicing, but it will be a bit of a pain if this happens every three or four months.

Thanks,
Dave

With Audis you have 2 service intervals; an oil change (inspection service) and a full service. If you take your car to the dealer for an inspection service and a full service is due in the near future, they will do it together.
Requiring a service again in December was rather short. I would suggest that you pull on the stalk by the odometer to see what it says regarding the services (It will show you regarding both services).

Thanks alankru,

I've just checked my facts! The car is on Audi's Inspection Service; there was a Service At 18,856 miles and Oil Change at 25,723 miles. The DIS is indicating a Service is due in 9,500 miles (or 15 days) and Oil Change in 16,600 (633 days), so it's obviously the Service that is due again. I intend to stay with the main dealer while the car is relatively young so might ask then if the two services can be combined at the same time, next time around.
