Vento clutch plate

A young lad has texted me re a clutch he's fitting to a Vento, he said it's almost level with the lip on the flywheel and he's afraid to tighten in the pressure plate. I'd have thought the pressure plate would go in a bit. It has a ALE engine I don't think it's the original box. Advice welcome

He must be missing his old one for comparison!,but because of doubts at least check splines and dimensions and maybe murfitts could help.

The car has had work done to it, it's a G60 flywheel and some type of MK4 box B4 Passat pedals etc. Apparently the pressure plate only goes a couple of mil into the flywheel. Thanks for the reply I was away.
