Buying a TDi Passat, got a question.

Hi guys, I'm looking at a 1998 VW Passat TDi SE 110 bhp, it's got 105k on the clock but although the guy has had it serviced by his mate he hasn't got the past few years (about 30k) of service reciepts, when does the cam belt need to be changed and is their anything I need to ask about as I'll pull him down to get it done.
