Just purchased A3, central locking, electric mirrors and windows on passenger door were not working.
thought I'd have a mooch, I found a wire, (red/green) had came loose out of door frame socket connector.
could not get it back in as all corroded, (obviously been like it for a while) so I ran piece of cable from passenger foot well, to inside of door to see if that was the problem, with a view to replace loom in near future.
It worked, well the window works now, locking does not. So I was on the right tracks...
However, now the starter motor has started clicking when trying to start the car and car will not start.
Radio and all lights work, any ideas?
