Feels like suspension has gone but garage checked any ideas?

Hi, just over the last 4 weeks every time I go over a bump the car feels like it takes it badly almost like a louder thump sound than you would normally expect as if the bump in the road is 3 times bigger than it is, as if there is no suspension, this is at the rear of the car. I have press tested the suspension myself and taken it to a garage to inspect and told all is well. I have just driven it again after a week but really notice it sounds like its taking a beating has anyone got any ideas?

Check for broken coil springs.

As well as springs check for sloppy rubbers in suspension at swivel points and also shocks,also try to pin point which side is worst
