Hi,
We live in country australia and have just bought a second hand A6, only after a few weeks I went into a shop came out and tried to turn the car on as per usual. It stalled after 2 seconds so i tried again and it did the same, I then noticed the immobiliser key light flashing. We dont have a soare key as they didnt give us one and the one we have is pretty dodgy.
We live 2 hours from the local audi dealer and our local mechanics wont have a bar of it.
Is there a way to bypass the immobiliser so we can at least get it started so we can drive it to the dealer?
Please help its thd only car that fits all our kids in and we have had it off the road for 3 months now cause no one will help us at all.
Thanks in advance :)

Unfortunately you need diagnostic equipment to find the fault. Do you have a locksmith near you that codes keys? A new transponder might fix the problem. There are ways to bypass this problem but as the information is useful to car thieves it cant be put on this site. Look in your local paper for guys doing auto diagnostics

We have tried with all the local guys no one has the right cord for the computer, as soon as we say audi they run and hide. We had a locksmith come to our house cause we cant move the car, he took one look went for a drive to get something and never showed up again, not even a phone call. We live so far away from everything, we just want to be able to start it and move it so we can take it to audi in town and get it sorted properly we cant afford to get it towed down there.
We think who we bought it off of has bypassed the immobiliser to sell it to us and whatever he has done has dropped out, its very frustrating as we need it for the 7 seats.

You could try joining the equivalent of the RAC/AA they should rescue it to a garage that can repair it. Only other option is to tow it yourself. If you tow it you'll need a straight bar as you won't have brakes. Look on the internet see if someone like a mobile mechanic has VAG-Tacho or VCDS. I don't think a dealer can code a key remotely but it might be worth a phone call
