is it a golf gti?

hey
i have been looking for an 03 or similar 5 door golf gti. i went to a garage which advertised exactly that, on arrival found the car had a 2.0 badge and not gti aswell as the alloy wheels being different to other gti's i previously seen although they were vw wheels. the car has all gti refinements like esp and climate control.I have been told by some friends that this is not gti. Can anyone help? :1zhelp:

I thought the only 2.0ltr Mk4's were 3dr & 5dr GTI's.

Check the car using the registration number.

Simply use it on any of the 'online' insurance quote sites, and use the reg number, instead of filling out the car details, it will tell you what the car was originally registered as.

Most probably a GTI.
