Hi Chris
In the hand book it says its audi multi media interface, and it looks the same as what is in the car [RNS-E].
car is a 2006 avant a4 b7.I have been looking at this Bt kit.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251782384334?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649. do you think this will work on my car please.

That interface is 10 years old and you may get BT compatibility issues, I would look for either 8P0 862 335 AB(2010) or 8P1 862 335 (2011) that was the last RNS-E compatible BT module Audi made.

Not my auction, just one I found on ebay with the latest module + all the cables you need. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/audi-bluetooth-8P1-862-335-mic-loom-/251781173131?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item3a9f53cf8b

The loom needs to be altered it came from a concert radio to rnse apparently I have to chop some leads then splice into the car harness. Can anyone help me on this. I am not that clever with car electrics or soldering, is there a simple way to achieve an end result.
pic of the loom.
