've a motor-swap TDi Vanagon, and I need the best ECU to use for TUNING.
Currently using Passat 038 906 018 GA.
A) First problem is, I don't use the matching Passat gauges, which act as gateway, so some communication issues are messed up with the CANbus and I cannot use ANY wifi/bluetooth dongle.
B) Second problem is, this ECU is not Flashable for tuning, which is what I want so that I can use the Malone Flashzilla.
Can anyone help me with ECU model numbers/codes, and/or Make/Model/Year donor cars, that have a FLASHABLE (tuning) ECU?
Also codes for pre/non-CANbus applications?
I have to decide whether I want the CANbus issue resolved without resorting to gauge swapping, or tunability via flash. What I have no sorts neither issue.
The donor car MUST use a 1.9TDi VE injection engine, but 3-letter engine code is irrelevant.
Audi A6, VW Sharan, Golf, Jetta, Passat, in overlapping years, may work I believe.
