I'd drain it out personally, did he start the car? Don't let him near it again!!

thanks for the reply, yh the car was started and was driven, i seen that the coolant level was over max level this morning, he not allowed near the car now.

take 2 bottle. in the first, put some antifreeze and water. in the second, put some screenwash. now tighten both caps and shake. see the difference. this is where the problem lies.

I really wouldn't want screenwash circulating through the water galleries on the block.

Not sure but your best bet would be the bottom hose on the radiator.

the car will be fine, its only some detergent, but it does bubble up. coolant should be changed every 5 years anyway. thank god he didn't put it in the oil.

Perhaps the OP's brother did fill first at the oil filler and tipped the dregs of the 5 litre can into the coolant reservoir!!

if it was me, I would drain and refill as others have said - otherwise I'd worry !

It's twenty quid and half an hours work. Drainage tap on the radiator and take a pipe off the oil cooler and you'll get all of it out. Give it a flush with cold water before adding coolant.
