Vibration Under Load

Seat Toledo 2001, 1.9tdi SE, 138K miles.

Under load, most noticeable in 5th gear, around 1500-2000 rpm, can feel a shimmer in the car. As soon as power removed, shimmer disappears.

I think it is also present in 4th gear, but more difficult to detect as not in the 1500-2000 rpm range for long.

Wheels balanced. Tyres changed, no effect.

Problem has existed for around 50K miles - with more than one tyre change and balance during this time.

Also swapped wheels front to back - no change.

Any thoughts on what could be causing this?

Duel mass flywheel.

Quite an expensive repair unfortunatley.
