Just hooked up the VCDS and checked the battery health - its currently 20% and producing 7Ah!! Think I need a new one :p

I could buy an Audi battery, but Bosch seem to do a similar battery for £80 ish but does it have a BEM code ? or any other manufacturer suggestions ?

AGM, MOLL, VARTA etc...just take with same caracteristics battery as oem you have and regarding coding change last digit in ecu(serial)

Thanks - I've been looking around and have found a Varta Blue G3 95Ah (595 402 080) which I believe will fit!

Yes it should fit, but double check fitting system(from side or from top - cant remeber) have only 1,8T and same 95Ah battery oem. Check the EN value as well to be the same or slightly higher!

Thanks Gunnark - Varta battery installed. Same size and all the plastics fit nicely as well.

Battery is showing 40-45ah though - is it worth hooking up to charger and trickle overnight? I suppose these batteries are stored in a warehouse for a while so won't be fully charged when they arrive!

I do not see point charge half full battery, it should be full after longer drive anyway, let system take care of it now!
