Just a quick introduction from me, I'm knocking on a bit but still got plenty of mileage left in me at 55 or at least hope I have. We have just bought a 2010 Volkswaggon Golf 2.0 140 SE with 11,000 miles on it from JTC600 the VW dealer in South Yorkshire, that makes my total number of Volkswagons to two. My very first car in 1977 was a 1300 VW Beetle in Texagelb yellow I met my wife a month after getting it and we kept it for years and have very fond memories of it, I remember we used to put £10 in the tank each week and drive round just to use it up. If my memory serves me right it was 72p a gallon then which is approx four and an half litres in new money! Boy as that changed. Hope the golf is as good as that was, I came from a Volkswagon family in that my Dad was staunch VW and my sister also so my return is a bit like the prodigal son:biglaugh:.
i do have some mobility issues now and picking the golf and test driving it had to take that into account, plus be easy and none intimidating for my wife to drive. We don't actually pick it up till the 31st of this month so I'm sort of excited like a big kid, and looking round for information and pictures of our car. Anyway. A big hello from me and hope to get to know plenty of you in time to come
