Your not giving us much to go on. Is the problem there at idle or only when you open the throttle? Does the problem occur when the engine is cold or hot? Is the engine check light on? Is it on constant or is it flashing?

Jim.

I's nice to see constructive & informative feedback from fellow forum members . Our family has had 3 polos over the last 10 years with very little to complain about - 2003 1.4TDI with 140,000 miles, 2003 1.9TDI with 90K and 2009 1.9TDI with 45K. Only routine replacements required and all very economical - 55 to 65 MPG. What's nasty about that ?

1.2 petrol is a very different beast. Does personal opinion HAVE to be constructive and informative?

I had a 2001 1.2 Ibiza in for a misfire some time back, cost over 1k to fix it, ball of poo. The polo is a great car petrol or diesel just not the 1.2.
