I am able to turn the warning lights out, however they come straight back on,just cant figure out if one sensor would cause all these errors or not

Many thanks in advance

You've only got one fault that would cause a warning light to come on...with the front left wheel speed sensor circuit.
The faults logged in the park brake & steering are just telling you there is a fault logged in the ABS ECU.

It's strange that you have a fault logged in the media player because it's status is shown as OK in the gateway list at the top of your log.

Thanks for the reply jim, i done another scan yesterday evening on a laptop that has been freshly formatted and the media player fault did appear in the top gateway list so i think the laptop was causing that.. i also read that fault could just be because the jack plug is connected with no device but i dont know.

I just need to find out where this sensor is on the front left wheel now and figure out whether it can be repaired or not.

Thanks again.

Yeah, sound sounds plausible.

I just need to find out where this sensor is on the front left wheel now and figure out whether it can be repaired or not.

Follow the wiring down the strut and you'll find it. On the left strut the wiring spits into two branches. One goes to the brake pad sensor connector and the other branch goes to the ABS sensor.

Thanks again.

Your welcome.

Jim.

Cheers Jim your a gent, i am going to have a look at the sensor this weekend...i seen something about spacing being incorrect with the sensor that can cause this...might end up having to go into a garage as i think as all i can do is check the connection is not loose or dirty...i suppose i could use the front right as a reference to check everything.

Cheers m8:)

Have you had any work done on the car recently? Brakes, wheel bearing, anything like that?
Your right, you'll probably have to end up taking it to a garage. Even if it was just a faulty sensor, they can be a real pig to remove sometimes.
If you fancy doing a few additional tests though, you could take it for a test drive while using your VCDS to monitor the wheel speed sensors output in measured value block 01.
I think the output cuts off over 10MPH as a safety measure but it will let you see if there is any output from the sensor.
If you have a volt meter you could also do a voltage test on the two pins of the sensor harness connector. One of the pins should have a 12V supply.
There are a couple of quick & dirty tests you can do using VCDS to check the sensor wiring too, but the trouble code doesn't seem to say it's a wiring fault.
It would be worth disconnecting the sensor though, then recheck the ABS fault memory and see what trouble codes you have. If you now have an open circuit/short to B+ code then the wiring is probably OK.

When you said before that you could erase the trouble code but it came back. Did it come back straight away or after you started to drive?

No work has been done for a while Jim the fault appeared out of the blue but i will certainly try all those tests you have advised as i can handle that i think,i have a multimeter too.

I could,nt remove the warning lights when i had the ignition on but i managed to remove them with the engine running and they stayed off while the car was sitting ticking over but when the car reached around 10-15 mph if memory serves they came back on.

Thanks for all the advice Jim its appreciated.

Just remember that the ABS/ESP warning lights will stay on if the diag tool is communicating with the ECU. You'd have to come out of ABS after erasing the faults to see if the warning lights went out.
The lights stay on while in diagnostic mode because the system might not function as expected. The same sort of thing happens with the SRS/airbag system too.

Jim.
