Ordered a dashcam yesterday. Don't do huge mileages, so can't really justify spending a lot, but this (http://youtu.be/iEW4mxG9Cn4) seems to offer decent performance for the money. Sound is apparently crap, but that doesn' worry me in the least.
I will endeavour to post back a short review once it arrives :)
What are you hoping to film, apart from the tailpipes of the cars in front?

I live on the outskirts of West London - ***** are aplenty and driving skill is seriously lacking in many of them. I figure that it is only a matter of time until the time comes when one of them does something that I am unable to avoid - so, the ability to demonstrate who was at fault under those circumstances will be pretty invaluable.
I have 22 years no claims bonus, so the £86 for the camera seems like a cheap insurance policy to cover it really - even if it only lasts its two year warranty period, it works out at 81p per week. If I record nothing, I am a happy man.
However, there is also a work aspect to this - I am a manager in the public transport industry, and that means I have to attend accidents and incidents occasionally - having some of those scenes and incidents recorded is only going to help

Arrived today, and now set up in the car. Text video - here (https://www.dropbox.com/s/tf1vg6o3g9jvawo/My%20Movie.wmv?dl=0).
Please note that the video here is much more 'blocky' than it is in reality - - I presume that this is due to losses when processed into one seamless piece of footage and then uploaded to the net.
So far, I am chuffed for the money :)
