Does anyone have a copy of Elsawin. I have tried downloading this a few times without success. If someone could send me a screen shot of the bonnet release catch I would be grateful

Dealer only software mate. If you told us what car you have I'm sure someone will tell you how to fix it.

A4 B7 2.0 TDI. 2 things I need to fix.

1. The bonnet release cable broke. Bonnet well closed. So need to get it open.

2. Cylinder 1 and 2 is misfiring and need to get at the coils.

I need to know what I'm looking at to fix them. Comfortable with fixing myself but need to study it first

As you can't legally own elsawin unless youre a dealer you could try a Haynes or a Bently workshop manual. I'm sure someone will tell you how to open the bonnet, I'm not sure if elsawin would.

I can't agree with that. You can buy a VCDS cable for small money but its a fake and it may not work. The guy that is selling it has stolen the software and illegally modified it. In law if you buy anything that is obviously way below it's market value then you're complicit in that theft. Pleading ignorance isn't a defence. Not looking to buy anything just want a screen shot so I know what I'm looking at. His forum is so we can all help each other. I would prefer a screen shot from a proper repair manual so I get it right. A debate about who owns Elsawin maybe would be better on another thread

Unfortunately as we have a very good relationship with VAG and one or two dealers, this site is looked at by both VAG and the dealer, including, as I found out myself very early on in the sites history, the VAG legal team, so it may not be wise to advertise the fact that you have a PIRATE, DOWNLOADED, AUCTION SITE, ILLEGAL copy of dealer software.... Which is the reason we do not allow it's discussion on the forum.
