Got my year old Passat B7 this week. 2.0 Tdi S Bluemotion Auto DSG. Spent all the previous few days checking stuff that comes with it, or what options I might add (cruise control is a must for me). The car has a 'BT Source' option on the DAB radio system, and a 3 button module in the roof by the interior lights control. I have spent the*best[http://images]*part of 2 hours this morning trying to pair my phone to the car with no luck. I checked a Youtube video and found 'how to reset your VW Passat bluetooth module' video, which made it look very simple.....but when I pulled the drivers seat back.......no module! Just a hole in the floor and a very visible connector . Now I'm sure the bluetooth is standard on S, especially one thats 13 months old.

And I would think it odd the VW would just leave a hole in the*floor[http://images]*if it wasn't standard, surely it would be covered with a plastic hatch or something?

Do any other owners agree with this? Is it standard, and has my dealer inadvertently missed the fact that this was missing...it's not something obvious unless you physically*look[http://images]*for it.*

I will use the after-sales service to try and get one fitted to replace but they are closed at weekends, so I'm assuming its a simple connect up and then Bluetooth will fill the car for 3 minutes from ignition allwoing me to pair the*phone[http://images](s).

Thanks for any help, tips or advice. If anyone has any experience of a retrofitted cruise control, then I'd be happy to hear that as well. This is my first VW, and I love it! I just want to be able to use the phone hands free from time to time.*
Thanks Tony

With there being a 'hole' it looks like the module has been 'borrowed'. Cruise is an easy retrofit just needs a kit from vw and coding, takes about an hour to fit.

Thank you. Hopefully the dealer will resolve this for me with no hassle then. I will arrange the cruise control as I think it's a licence saver
