Hi all, been here a while but not posted much, if at all.

Traded my VW Golf GT TDi on an 05, in for a 10plate A4 SE TDi with multitronic, I really like it, big improvement on the Golf, not entirely sure what MPG I'm going to get yet, but hopefully something close to the Golf,(52-56mpg)

Not sure on how some of the features work, but am ploughing through the encyclopaedia they call a manual lol

hope to use this forum for information, and hope to be able to help someone else when i become clued up

Nice car but expect mid 40's economy. Thats what mine did in the 18 months i had it.
Then i bought the 3 litre quattro Tdi and it does 36 mpg :-)

Ditto on the colour - I ended up with another grey :confused:.

Best MPG i've had on a long run with no minor roads was 49.

average on my 12 miles to work is 43. :zx11:

I only wish I for greater that 50

Thanks for the replies, I didn't think I'd get the same as the Golf figures, same(similar) engine..bigger heavier car, just wasn't gonna happen was it lol

My round trip work journey is 70miles, so hopefully I'll be getting high 40s regular. The colour has grown on me over the last few days, when I first seen it on Wednesday, I wasn't so sure, but when I picked it up on Saturday, with it all shiny, I loved it...next doors cat has scratched it already!! came out this morning to see paw prints all over it, and scratches on the roof...was absolutely fuming! oh well, I'll be getting it sorted asap

well last week was my 1st full week at work, with a mileage of around 500miles of mostly A roads and town driving averaging 40.3mpg...not too bad I suppose

Average with my 3.0 is high 30's for work commute. Seen ave of 47mpg on run from Grantham to Scotch Corner using A1 which is a ***** road to drive but I also managed a very respectable average mph :biglaugh:

You have the 3.0 OP?

My 2.0 remapped to 185 does 55+ on a very long run (m1 50mph included) but high 40's normal.
My buddy's A5 with the 3.0 does the mid 30's mentioned above for mixed normal journeys.

Mine is the 2.0 tdi (143), and on a long motorway drive, at cruising speed, good mpg is possible. (I did not take the picture by the way, the misses did from the passenger side).

A friend of mine has the same, but manual and has stop/start system and he gets around 55+. Something isn't right with mine is there...worth taking back?

took the car back to Poole Audi today, spoke with one of the techs, he says the mpg on the CAGA engine is between 40-45mpg..looks like I'm getting the best I can.
