MMI and phone directory

Hi,

Apologies if this has been posted before, can anyone explain why when the phone directory is selected to make a call I do not see the contact list in the same manner it is one my phone?

For example if I am looking for John , and I know several, all I see is J(Mob).The strange thing is only last week the contacts showed up correctly, both names so it was easy to identify the correct contact I required.

Am I missing something obvious, I have tried all settings on MMI.

have you done a software update on your phone? have you tried changing the settings on your phone to show your contacts in a certain way?

All updates downloaded, there does not appear anything obvious to change in contact settings to alter the display!!
