So i think i am going for a super chips remap at demon tweeks at Wrexham £360 all in on my 3.0 tdi quattro. Just after some advice what to look out for?

Will i get loads of engine errors with it going to 300bhp i.e hotter etc..

Also they offer bluefin? If i am right this will let me put the car back to factory settings if needed? plug and play to onboard port?

Sorry if repeating myself just dont wanna damage my pride and joy!

cheers

Hi,

Not got diesel A6, but have had another car tuned in the past. Any reputable tuner should not take your car beyond sensible limits so you should not see any error codes or overheating etc. That said if you drive it like you stole it alot then you can expect reduced life of associated components.

I thought bluefin was a way to put on and take off the updated ECU map yourself so that if it goes to the garage for servicing, or you lend it to your teenager you can have the factory map on it.

That being said insurance companies can tell if the ECU program has been altered so it's worth declaring this mod for peace of mind.

Superchips are a well known, established company so you should not have any issues.

Good luck and let us know what you decide and how it turned out.
