Hi Folks,

Was over at my neighbors today to have a look at a 2013 A7 that he has just purchased when he asked me a very good question that I cannot answer, the question is “can the head up display be retro fitted” if so which companies would do this.

Yes but to be honest probably not worthwhile. It would work out dearer than factory, you may need a new dash (?) along with control units, wiring, coding and calibration.

It probably can be done but would cost thousands. A new dash for sure, new windscreen, the HUD parts, coding and probably a lot of cabling and connectors.

Its a great feature but I doubt it would be worth retrofitting. There is an app for iPhones, and a product made by garmin (iirc) that you put on your dash and it reflects things like speed etc onto the windscreen. Only really works at night though from what I've read.
