Hi All,
Just bought an A8 2005, TDi & having a lot of problems :
Since buying I have had to replace the handbrake switch and the start/stop switch. But now i have a message saying "ignition lock defective" and a picture of a key crossed out plus when I put in park I get a message saying "shift to park to stop the car rolling ..." It is in park but I cannot then release the key, the only way I can get the key out is by pressing the little switch by the barrel and puling the key out.
The car will only start if i Put the key in and press the Stop button and then turn the key.
Be great to understand what the problems are before giving to a garage or avoid giving to a garage if it can be helped.
