Hi all
i,ve had a good look through the posted threads and I couldn't see anything relating to my problem so hopefully someone will be able to help me. I have a 2001 pd 110 alhambra with tiptronic gearbox that is slipping really badly, I can nurse it around if I apply a very gentle foot but the time has come to get a another box fitted, and so my question is 1, has anybody done a auto box swap themselves,if yes was it difficult and worth the effort.
2, can anyone recommend a supplier of gearboxes if I decide to do it myself.
3, can anyone recommend a good independent garage/workshop where this can be carried out should I decide not to do it myself, ideally either in the Kent area or in the Bath/Bristol area.
so there we are,should I do it myself or let a garage do it? I await your replies,thanks for reading.
