VW Polo 2005 Exhaust Warning Light

Hi folks,

Driving home my polo from work this morning, all going well when the Exhaust Warning lamp came on, and the car then went into a 'limp' mode. Wouldn't go above 2000 revs, but drove 'ok' up to 40 mph?!?!?

Got home ok!

Best scenario/Worst scenario please. I have had no problems at all with this car since bought in Aug 2008.

If you haven't done so already your first step is to get the error codes read. Which will most likely tell you exactly what the problem is.
