Hi,
I'm currently fitting an aftermarket video input module into my A4 saloon and I'm supposed to be connecting the 12v cable of this unit to the cars 12v Acc.
Although the car uses a CAN-BUS system, I have found several places to get this switch power from in the car.
However, I notice that the stereo system can be on without the keys even being in the ignition. A long press on the volume button will toggle the stereo on and off.
With this in mind, does anyone know where to get a switched 12v supply that toggles with the stereo being turned on and off? I have found on another forum someone giving vague instructions on a cable coming out of the comfort control module (or something near it) in the right hand compartment in the boot. I have checked most things in this area to no avail.
Another thought is hooking into the telephone amplifier/antenna on the back window - without ripping my car to bits, does this make any sense?
