Although I've been on the forum as a trader for a little while, I'm also now an owner of a Golf.
Unfortunately my wife's Fabia was written off last week after somebody ran into the side of her so we were forced into buying another car. This is not a job I relish as it's just a nightmare usually.
After looking at a couple of Golf's, one which was battered and the other which was really nice but with 4 years missing from the service history, it was looking like we were going to have to scour the country to find the right car. Just as I had resigned myself to this I saw a really nice Golf advertised at my local VW dealership on ebay of all places. The photos looked nice an the description ticked almost every box on our wish list so we decided to drop in and take a look.
When we arrived we had a quick look around it and we were very impressed. We went to speak to the salesman who was dealing with it, had a quick test drive and 20 minutes later we paid the deposit on it.
Here is a rundown of what it has:
2.0L GT TDI 4Motion on a 55 plate.
Winter pack with leather seats.
Xenon headlights.
30,000 miles with 1 owner and full dealer history.
Climate control (Although this is currently reading in ferinheight).
We are really happy with it and it feels like a new car. The handling is really good and it's so smooth. I've just got to get a nice double din in it with bluetooth now as my wife needs that.
I might even sling a bit of carbon on it too :-)
