Just bought this motor today and am loving it. Looked at them for a while, saved up and bought one privately form auto-trader today - very pleased!

There's a couple of things I just wanted to check and ask advice about please:

1. How can I check what optional extras it has. The driver claimed it has "illumination pack" fitted. Is there such a thing and what does it give/how can I tell?
2. I've read somewhere they have a CD/Multi disc changer... is this the case? I've seen in the boot there's a big heat sink thing under the carpeted housing.
3. The drivers leather (1/2 leather interior) is very warn... is there anything I can do about this as it's quite bald.
4. The middle arm wrest seems to click a bit when put up and down and it leans a bit. Are these prone to break? Are they easy to repair/replace?
5. The drivers floor mat is warn and there's a hole in it (where the shoe heel has cut through it). Are they expensive? Are they bought in sets or single? Is it worth getting a boot carpet in your opinion? How much? All genuine mats I'd like by the way.
6. Do the wing mirrors automatically fold in? I've seen there's a setting on the system turned on but can't seem to see it working.
7. Is there anything else you would do/suggest in order to make it/keep it nice?

Thanks for any help/advice you can give.

some of this will be in the manual, but from my previous b8 avant I can suggest:

1. If you have footwell lights, door lights, glovebox light, door handle lights etc, then it will have the illumination pack. You can get an idea of the full compliment of lighting from the Audi configuratior online.
2. The built in 6 CD dash unit is labelled 'symphony'. Not sure about an external/boot changer. You've probably found the amp.
3. No idea. You'll need a specialist to comment on that.
4. What do you mean by 'leans a bit'? I thought these were quite durable.
5. I believe these come as a set. Call the parts dept for price. I had the boot mat in my last avant although I didn't make that much use of it. I think you can get fitted mats made up via eBay as a cheaper alternative.
6. This in an option, so depends on your car. The last Audi I had with electric fold used the mirror remote control switch to fold them. Not sure if that is still the case with the B8. Check online or maybe VCDS can help? Certain forum members have this tool and swear by it.
7. There are loads of threads in the forum on this topic. I took the autoglym life shine option but others have their own detailing preferences and there are some great 'end result' photos here.

1. From the inside cover of the service book all the options codes are listed and you can use a site like http://igorweb.org/equidec/ or VAG Codes (http://vag-codes.info/#option-decoder) or download the PDF from VAG Option Codes (http://vag-codes.info/vag-option-codes) to decode them.

Audi customer services can also give you this information, but last time I phoned up they sent me to a chargeable phone number.

Lift arm rest slowly and it should lock where you want it, move it fast and it will not lock
