Hello to everyone, I'm new to this forum, I'm about to buy an Audi A4 1.8 tfsi 160bhp on monday but im not convinced how good/bad is on mpg as I dont want a thirsty car and not a diesel..just wanna have some fun.
Also if you can tell me how reliable is and if the engine has any serious problems.

Parkers quote 39 mpg but I guess this will be about the best you could expect.

You may have bought the wrong car if you are expecting lots of 'fun', however IMHO... :Blush2:

The B8 TFSI engines having problems? Never(!).

Only the small issue of it drinking oil like its no tomorrow.

No, we're not either. ;-)

The 2.0 might be better for 'fun'. Your call....

Had my 1.8tfsi for 2 years now and never had any issues. Had it serviced every 10k and now its up too 105,000 miles and still going strong. Also had it remapped to over 200bhp. My MPG is between 30 and 33 mpg doing 90% town driving.

I have the 120bhp 1.8fsi and it got me around 30-33mpg mainly stop start town driving but recently started mainly motorway journeys and can get around 50mpg doing 60mph. Mine does drink oil though (in that I need to top up between services) but nowhere near as much as some other people.

The 2.0tfsi has better mpg and cheaper road tax!
