Hi,

I own a 2003 VW Bora TDi 150 Sport.

I know this has probably been asked before, but here goes. Is it possible to get the factory alarm fitted to my car to chirp when arming and disarming? Hopefully one of you knowledgable enthusiasts can help!

I have tried to search other threads on this forum but have not been able to find anything.....please help:1zhelp::1zhelp:

Yon can make the alarm chirp by using Vag-Com. Lots of people on here have it so someone should be able to help you out.
Dave.

Thanks Dave,

Can anyone tell me approx how much my local friendly VW dealer will rip me off for switching the chirp on?

Very easy to do as davegilsenan says in Adaptation 10 using VAG-COM. It's not a chirp, but a sort of pip. At the same time, auto lock/unlock of the doors can be set. The doors will unlock from the door switch, from two pulls of the respective interior handle, during a crash if the air bags deploy and as soon as you remove the ignition key.

To be more specific, channel 7 should be set to 1

Hope this helps

Pete
