How do I lift the wipers :)

Morning guys,

Might sound a silly question but I was cleaning my car yesterday and couldn't figure out how to lift the front wipers. Any ideas? Or do they have to be somehow disconnected ? :P

Either turn the ignition on then off and press the wiper stalk down to the bottom or go into CAR then windscreen wipers then enable the service position :)

In the MMI screen you will find a setting for change wiper blades or something like that. Select that and the wiper blades will stop in the up right position.

I didn't know this either lol, all I had noticed was they are kind of hidden under the bonnet

I was even trying to lift them with a bonnet opened but didn't quite work lol ;)

Be careful if you have them in the service position and then open the bonnet as it will catch the edge!

Likewise, be careful leaving them in the service position and raising them then changing the setting on the MMI. It will smash into your bonnet!
