cant get in my car

First off id just like to say hi as im new here �
Iv got a audi a4 convertible on a 2004
I went to the shops tonight when I come out I tryed the fob to unlock the door but nothing . Tryed the key in the door and it dont turn . Key opens to boot . Called the rac but he cld not get in it hes saying get it picked up tomorrow and take it to a garage . Thing is taking it somewhere you can trust ... anyone know how I can get the door open without breaking anything ....

Only suggestion would be to persist with key possibly thumping door at same time. Is it possible that lock barrel is seized from not using key,if so some penetrating
oil sprayed into keyhole and on key may help. Does key fob appear to operate at all. Maybe it has to be reprogrammed. Talk to Audi.

Rac man tested the key fob on some device and showed as working ... iv just phoned a look Smith he say he can come out cut a key and open the door with no damage ... £120
