I have recently been having a problem with my 2003 A4 Cabriolet -
1. The central locking works intermittently on the drivers door using the fob.
2. The windows workintermittently from the drivers door switches, they work more frequently when the door is opened (or just switch state)
3. The boot(trunk) light on the DIS comes on - but it it closed!
4. The handbrake indicator flashes on the DIS

I think the problem is either a broken cable in the loom between the door and the frame or a fault on the Convenience Control Module (CMM).

I need two things -
- A wiring diagram of the door loom and/or CMM wiring
- The location/part number of the CMM

Any helpers?

Matt

Sorry, I don't have a wiring diagram, but the place that mine was damaged is in the piece rubber tubing. At first when I've opend mine it seemd fine, but by closer inspection the wiring was damage very close to the door side.
The plastic was hard and cracked on some skew way, and then the copper inside was twisted off. In my case only the thick cables was damages and only one made wackel-contact, and caused wierd problems. I've also had the intermitant alarm (not locking issue, and 3 of the electric windows worked and the lights in the door went off.

Let us know!
