Changing Steering Wheel

Just bought a 3 spoke leather steering wheel and plan on changing it. Can't be that hard surely??

My MK4 is a 99, the steering wheel is off an 01 or 02.

the current steering wheel is just the old standard 4 spoke one. Badly worn, age related as expected. cheers!
